We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the official video for the ACTNOW project, which brings together leading scientists and institutions across Europe to address one of today’s most urgent challenges: understanding and managing the cumulative impacts of human activities and climate change on marine biodiversity.

The video introduces ACTNOW’s integrated scientific approach, which spans scales from molecular processes to ecosystem dynamics. By combining data from fieldwork, physiological and ecological modelling, and high-resolution future scenarios, the project is building a new foundation for how we assess biodiversity risks across European seas.

In close collaboration with regional stakeholders, ACTNOW develops socio-ecological scenarios to explore alternative futures and assess risks, resilience, and potential adaptation pathways. These scenario-based frameworks are applied to 17 case studies across all European marine climate zones, ensuring both geographic diversity and relevance to ongoing policy processes.
